WHAT:
U.S. Rep. Henry A. Waxman and California state Sen. Fran Pavley are co-hosting a climate change forum at UCLA that will focus on California's role as a national leader on climate policies and the interplay between the California Global Warming Solutions Act (AB 32) and the American Clean Energy and Security Act (HR 2454), recently approved by the U.S. House of Representatives. Science and policy experts will discuss the latest climate change research and economic opportunities arising from climate policies.
The event is presented by the UCLA Institute of the Environment's Center for Climate Change Solutions, the UCLA School of Law's Emmett Center on Climate Change and the Environment, the UCLA Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and the UCLA Office of Government and Community Relations.
